Borland Delphi 2006 ships

If you are a .NET, Java or Delphi developer, please take a look at our advanced logging tool SmartInspect.

It seems that Delphi 2006 starts shipping. We are still waiting for our copy, but we are told to get it next week. This release will be interesting. It has support for Delphi, C# and C++ and according to Borland, the focus for this release was set on quality and performance improvements. For example, Delphi 2006 is the first Delphi version which uses and has built-in support for the fabulous FastMM4 memory manager, which alone decreases the IDE startup time by nearly 50%. Postings about the new Delphi version are starting to appear in the Delphi Community. For example, I’ve just read an introduction to the new Laser Guide Lines feature.
