Delphi 2007 and SmartInspect

If you are a .NET, Java or Delphi developer, please take a look at our advanced logging tool SmartInspect.

We got a few requests about Delphi 2007 support in SmartInspect. The only things missing from SmartInspect 2.0 are the pre-compiled Units and the automatic IDE integration in the setup. Since we ship the full library source code with SmartInspect, it’s very simple to use it with Delphi 2007 even without pre-compiled Units:

  • Go to Tools | Options in Delphi
  • Add the SmartInspect library source path to Library - Win32 | Library Path

That’s it! We will of course release a new 2.1 version of SmartInspect with pre-compiled Units for Delphi 2007 very soon, but I just wanted to get the word out on how to use SmartInspect with the new Delphi version.
