We just relaunched DelphiFeeds.com, our Delphi blog aggregator and Delphi community website. But because we had to change the DNS entry of the domain, you might not be able to see the new site for the next 20 hours.
Besides building a new design for the site, we added new sections like the new Delphi Forum and the Delphi Blog of the Year Award. To celebrate the relaunch of the site, we added the award where you can vote for your favorite Delphi blog and have the chance to win cool prizes from participating sponsors. We organized some very nice prizes with a total value of more than US $4,000!
Besides adding more newsgroups to the front page, we also changed the newsgroup links from Google Groups to dev.newswhat.com, Marco Cantù’s Delphi newsgroup site. This site offers a much nicer interface to the newsgroups than Google does and it is more popular in the Delphi community anyway.
We hope that you like the new site and that you participate in the forums! Also don’t forget to vote for your favorite Delphi blog and don’t miss the chance to win the nice prizes.

Great looking site. I like the changes, specially showing more NG’s. However, in regard to the Blog of the Year contest, I must say I’m disappointed with your choice of blogs. You can tell some of them are there virtually for “political correctness” and others because they “have to be there”.
You base it on frequency of posting and useful information? Some of them post one in about 2-3 months, and useful information, well please. Read them.
Really unfair. You should have to the minimum listed ALL the blogs and let everyone participate. If it’s a vote by readers, let readers make the choice. It didn’t matter to you since you’re limited to number of prizes.
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your comment. We initially thought adding all blogs but figured the list would be way too long. We then added only those blogs we thought people would like and visit most (and which had been around for a while). We don’t have any statistics on how often a posting gets visited, so it was basically a guess.
But as it turned out (besides your comment, we also got a few emails), some readers miss their favorite blog on this list. You are probably right that it’s fairer to simply include all blogs and let the readers decide which blogs are the most popular. I changed the list now to include all the other blogs which published at least one blog posting in 2007.
Before the relaunch, the feed showed the author of each blog entry in the from column of my RSS Reader (Opera). Now it only says “DelphiFeeds.com Team”. Would it be possible to restore the old behaviour? Now it is really hard to tell who wrote a blog entry.
Hello Sebastian,
Yep, we will get this fixed. Thanks for letting us know.
I just fixed the feed (hopefully). Please let me know if you still have a problem with the authors in the feed.
