Hello Subash,

we definitely plan to eventually include an API and support for automated tests, but the 1.0 won’t come with this. For the 1.0, we want to provide a solid solution to manage classic QA and testing scenarios.

Shortly after the 1.0 has been released and all smaller issues have been fixed, we plan to start working on automated test integration as the next big task, as we know that this is an important feature.

I would like to know if your product will have support for API calls or SOAP calls to make it integrate with other external systems. Also if there is plans of directly launching Junit tests from the tool.

Joe, I’m pretty sure Jake meant that ironically. Anyway, although I agree that the Basecamp and TestRail UI have _some_ similarities, most web applications use a similar UI these days (e.g. with a header, sidebar, tabs as navigation elements etc.). In fact, even Amazon’s website used the same elements for many years (tabs, site ID, sidebar etc.), although with different colors. And if you compare the following screenshots, the Basecamp and TestRail UIs are actually quite different:

Ummm… basecamp has been around for years. It’s the other way around. That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw this UI.

Just to clarify, because one of our forum postings asking for beta feedback was moved to a job board: there is NO compensation for the beta test, except that we are prepared to provide discounts to users who provide useful feedback during the beta.
