Our experiences with Google AdWords
Just like Eric Sink, we have been quite disappointed with Google AdWords so far. We have a lot of ads running on Google for SmartInspect, but we either get almost no impressions for the selected keywords or the keywords are so popular that Google instantly disables our ads, even when we get good click through rates.
The situation improved a bit since Google changed its AdWords system. We can now increase our maximum cost per click and get more impressions and click throughs. Still, I would have hoped for more traffic from Google AdWords. It is actually only consuming like 10% of the monthly budget we planned to use for it.
And no, our keywords or ads aren’t the problem. We had a Google AdWords support guy look at our account (they are quite helpful) and he confirmed that we have good targeted keywords and ads.
