SmartInspect log server example

If you are a .NET, Java or Delphi developer, please take a look at our advanced logging tool SmartInspect.

Tobias wrote an article about an example SmartInspect log server. The server is able to receive logging data from multiple machines on the network and store the log data in a central location on the server. The saved log files can then be opened directly in the SmartInspect Console.

We planned to offer a much more complex SmartInspect server in a future SmartInspect version, but because of a customer suggestion we evaluated our plans again and came to the conclusion that even a very simple server is already quite useful. Tobias implemented the server with 300 lines of Delphi source code and the result can be downloaded from our download section.

Feel free to use it as a starting point for your own implementation or just use and redistribute the service as-is, but please remember that it is only an example and currently unsupported.
