After complaining about the Googlebot and our Google search results three few weeks ago, the situation has changed in the last few days. Our rankings are much better now which results in having more visitors coming from Google. This is quite unexpected since we haven’t changed anything. It might be that the blog.gurock.com site grew out of its early stage website days or that it benefits from the increasing popularity of the main www.gurock.com site. Some of our postings and articles are currently placed in the top 5 Google search results:
- Dennis’ Debugging Windows Services with Delphi article is currently listed first when searching for debug delphi service
- When you search for empower for isvs you find Dennis’ Taking Advantage of Microsoft’s Empower for ISVs Program article on the second place
- Search for vi emulation or visual studio vi emulation and you find my posting about the ViEmu Visual Studio add-in
As said, this is quite unexpected, especially the results for the Empower for ISVs article and the ViEmu posting. It seems that the Googlebot has finally indexed our existing content completely.
